Join us for Artistry in Bloom, a celebration of Redding’s vibrant talent! This special performance showcases classical and contemporary ballet with select pieces set to music by local musicians or performed alongside live music.
In addition to stunning choreography by Redding City Ballet’s artistic team the evening will also feature a piece choreographed, and performed by commune dance company and also exciting new choreography by budding student choreographers, highlighting the next generation of artistic voices in our community.
FRIDAY EVENING ONLY: Our elegant gala evening begins with hors d’oeuvres, followed by a breathtaking dance performance, and concludes with desserts and a meet-and-greet with the dancers.

Summer Dance Intensive
Redding City Ballet’s Summer Intensive
Join us for our Summer Dance Intensive for Intermediate and Advanced dancers ages 10+. Intensive classes are Monday-Friday, July 14-18. Intermediate Level is 9am-12pm and the Advanced Level is 12:30-3:30pm. Our exciting intensive features guest teacher Shannon Grant, alongside RCB staff Ashley Ramsour, Julie Smyrnos, and Deysi Faeth. Placement for the intensive is by audition. Auditions are Monday, June 23, 6-7pm. Please contact us if needing to schedule a different audition time. Registration is through our online class portal.
St Paddy's with Daddy
Dancers and their dads (or granddads, uncles, older brothers, or other favorite father figures) are invited to join us for an evening of dancing and St. Patrick’s Day fun!

Master Class with World Ballet Company
Join Redding City Ballet for a Master Class taught by members of the World Ballet Company’s cast of The Great Gatsby. Based in Los Angeles and led by Sasha Gorskaya and Gulya Hartwick, World Ballet Company leverages decades of combined entertainment expertise to create, produce, and tour original productions that appeal to newcomers and seasoned balletgoers alike. Two classes are offered concurrently:
Studio A: 3:30-4:45pm, Advanced dancers (ages 12+)
Studio B: 3:30-4:45pm, Intermediate dancers (ages 8+)

Open Auditions for “Artistry in Bloom” Spring Tour 2025
Join us for Redding City Ballet’s Artistry in Bloom tour. Dancers ages 10+ are invited to audition to perform in innovative new works featuring local composers as well as time-honored classical ballet variations. Auditions will take place on the following schedule:
9:30am-10:30am - Intermediate Dancers (ages 10+)
10:30am-12:00pm - Advanced Dancers (Ages 12+)
12:00pm-12:30pm - Dancers on pointe (must also attend 10:30-12 audition)

From stunning costumes and a beautiful Sugarplum Fairy to toy soldiers, waltzing flowers, and an evil Rat Queen, this enchanting ballet will sweep you up in the delight of the holiday season.

National Dance Day
Redding City Ballet joins local and regional dance studios and dance groups to celebrate the art of movement in our community. This recital features demonstrations of various styles of dance. Entrance donations and concessions sales support the Foundation for Performing Arts Education (FPAE) and their efforts to build a new community theater for increased education and performance opportunities.
Open Auditions for The Nutcracker
Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the RCB Studio, 935 Locust St, Redding
Audition Schedule:
10am – 10:45am Children 6-9 years old (Creative Ballet, Pre-ballet, Level I Ballet equivalent)
11am – 12pm Children 10-13 years old (Level II, III & IV Ballet equivalent)
12:30pm – 2:30pm Dancers 13 to adult, girls en pointe at least one year (Level IV & V Ballet equivalent)
2:30pm – 3:15pm Teen/Adult Character parts- ballroom dance experience a plus
Children must be 6 by date of auditions. Please arrive 15 minutes before the audition time to allow for parking and check-in.
Dance attire of black leotard, pink tights, pink shoes, hair in a bun for the girls. Black tights or leggings and white shirt or leotard, hair pulled back for the boys.
Pre-registration required.
Audition Information Meeting
Join us at our Locust St studio for an audition information night to learn the details of participating in Redding City Ballet’s 2024 production of The Nutcracker in addition to joining the company. Tentative rehearsal, performance and fee schedule will be provided.
Baby Wearing Fitness Dance Party
Join us for a fun-filled Fitness Dance Party! This class is designed for all levels and will include a warm-up, dance routines, and a cool down & stretch. Baby-wearing is recommended but not required. We will have a few extra carriers available if you don’t have one or want to try a new style. Free, 10-minute mini classes will begin every 15 minutes throughout the evening to help with class placement. Please refer to the following schedule and choose the classes you’d like to try:

6:15 - Pre-ballet and Intro to Ballet mini session (ages 3-6)
6:30 - Level 1 and 2 Ballet mini session (ages 7-11)

7:15 - Men’s Basic Ballet mini session (age 8-adult)
